Eric wrote that title for his first blog on Myspace, and I doubt I’ll ever forget it. I just picture him being so excited about blogging that his trembling fingers just couldn’t perform the normal keystrokes required to spell a coherent title. Luckily for me I downloaded Windows Live Writer and so the five spelling errors that would have occurred already have been automatically fixed.
Anyway, I want to make this Journal a normal everyday (probably not) thing. Even if its mundane (which wouldn’t be a departure by any means) and stupid (again, not a departure), a Flickr pic or Youtube vid, this page shall be updated with out the horrid month long absences.
I hope you’re excited as was sick.

I heard being vague and sensational in blog titles is a good way to attract attention.
So anyway, I haven’t been bored in a really long time, but mark my words today I am very tired and bored. I seriously wanted to do some massive video game playing for the first time in forever. but…. I don’t have anything but Excite Bike and Galaxy both of which I’ve beaten to the brim. Half Life 2 now crashes on my computer, which really freaking sucks.
This made me laugh hopefully it does the same for you.
Since I’ve been going to Ohio State I’ve been having this dream where I’m at a summer semester that’s being taught at Lakeview high. But in order to get all my work done, I consistently skip this Social Studies class because they don’t take attendance. But the teacher collects notes or gives a test mid-quarter to grade our progress.
Anyway, my dream usually starts mid-semester as I panic to find out what’s going on in that class. But, I refuse to walk into that class because day I want to believe that my plan worked. So I just kinda walk around my day all panicked wondering how I’m gonna tell my family that I’m failing a class.
I think this dreams only purpose for my sub-conscience to torture my conscience. Thats sounds something like something that would happen in high school but not so much in college. Hopefully it stays that way.
My writing ability has dropped again. I really should take another class on it. I constantly load my sentences with extra phrases and other word junk. It’s a bad and easy habit for me to fall into.
Anyway its morning and I am very stinky.

I never really thought I’d ever have the privilege to go to Sundance. But having actually gone, my mind as been stripped of any prestige or upper-class-ness I had associated with it. It’s pretty relaxed and depending on where you go largely unsophisticated. I remembering hearing stories of people walking out on movies like Clerks in years past because of it's vulgarity, and in fact some people fainted this is year at a showing of Grace.
So certainly there are some of those people, but Sundance is luckily so diverse enough that anyone could really find a movie that they would like. The have a movie about a cannibal babies playing next to an innocent movie about a girl falling in love for the first time. They have a movie about an insane guy who tap dances to keep away the devil and a blaxploitation movie about one bad dude trying to stop "the man" from shrinking black dude’s penises.
The movies I saw in order were: Adventureland, Black Dynamite, Where is Where?, A Vicious Kind, and Paper Hearts.
A Vicious Kind was exactly the movie that I hate. It ignored character psychology and reasoning to simply put them in melodramatic and socially unreasonable situations. The direction of character was directionless, but the movie was pretty looking overall.
Where is where? was boring but interesting in the end. I got a little impatient and fussy in the theater not realizing I was sitting next to the producer. I should really practice better manners if I go again next year. I only think about the pain that a movie causes me, not the huge effort and dedication that it takes from so many people to make a movie.
Adventureland was far and away my favorite of all the movies. It really got what its like to hold down a summer job amongst people who are “making the best of their situation.”The movie really established a single motivating factor for each character in a very real way. I really related to this movie in terms of the point of view the story was told from: Although sad, it’s somehow optimistic. I loved it, it’s getting released in the Spring and I really can’t wait to check it out again. Bill Hader has a laugh out loud (which is very hard for me) moment in the middle of the movie, even though this movie is like 75% serious.
Black Dynamite and Paper Hearts I liked them both but I was done with them midway through. Black Dynamite would have been way funnier to me if it didn’t break the fourth wall so many times. Even thought I love me some boom mic jokes, so I guess I have nothing to complain about.
Yay sundance. I hope I get to go next year.
I don't update this anymore but that doesn't mean that I won't in the future. However if you wish to properly follow me check these out:

And now for the juicy gossipy thing that everyone likes my blog for!
Jason likes to give a series of phone calls to the same people everynight at about 8. During this he paces all over the apartment in the most loud fashion that fades in and out like ambulance moving by my door every five seconds. But who's bitter? Not me!
I am tired and I'm actually only checking the update for livejournal app for iPhone and of allows landscape keyboard which is totally rad and how I wrote this emendely long and boring entry. Especially right after I told Lori don't call cause I'm going to bed. But technically I'm only sitting on the toilet.
I love technology.
Peace!

I have been tweeting and check rss feeds like crazy and i'm positive it's only because I'm procrastinating studying like mad crazy. I'm pretty sure that finals week won't be nearly as bad as this though.
In other cool news Paul and trob are coming to visit so that should be sweet. I haven't seen ray in many month and that is making me very sad. What else is making me sad is that I just read Paul's lj entry saying that casey died because I rarely check ljs. Casey was way better than buddy, but I think we'll be talking about buddy longer because the world has never seen a dog that sucks that bad.
Btw Start joining twitter. That is all for this unorganiZed and scatter brained entry.

:::Shaina calls Brenden's phone::
Brenden: Hello?
Shaina: Hey, Brenden, I'm on a boat and I....
Reception faded, line completely disconnected.
Then I got a call which the caller ID said was from Michigan. Reception was bad and I couldn't understand anything. Was it Shaina?
Did Shaina commit mutiny on the boat and go searching for the Northwest Passage in Michigan and the NSA is now cutting lines of communication?
Probably.
Example: On the way home from Geneva, I heard the sound of "Bork" and I said "Bork! Bork! Bork! BorK!" and Jason caught on to what I think is an extremely obscure reference to The Swedish Chef, to which he finished the rest of that song.
So while I am doing those things people are out getting married.
And then on Friday, I ORDER MY CAMCORDER!!!!! Having a camcorder is almost like having a spouse. I am too tired to make any evidence to the previous statement.
This has been a petty and pointless entry. (existential)
(Please note that generic does not mean bad)
I saw The Dark Knight yesterday fully wanting the best Batman experience of all time. But having left the Drive-In I can't say that, simply because THE MOVIE DIDN'T END BY THE TIME THE CREDITS ROLLED!! 3 MORE YEARS I'LL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THIS DAMN MOVIE!! However the first hour was very generic of a superhero movie but the last hour and a half were perfect. amazing. brilliant. and the pilosophy behind the characters were different than anything I seen recently. But the story didn't end which is the only reason why I can not say the movie was good or bad, but what I can say is GO. SEE. THIS. MOVIE. (As if more than two people will read this.)Two and a half hours that were never dull or boring.
Everbody knows The Dark Knight is a must see, but I am very afriad of Batman casting a huge shadow on next weeks opener.
Even though I'm so pumped to finally get a resolution to the stupid TV Show finale, I am even more excited for the comic book series. It returns to the "classic" x-files era and promises to employ the writing staff of the original tv show and expand the alien story line. Plus check out how cool and easy the artwork fits the tone of the x-files. Skinner's head is now shinier than ever.
If the x-files does well, there will be more movies and all I care about is for there to be one more that will put the x-files alien mythology to rest. Please don't forget the x-files.
So instead of complaining about movies, which seems to happen a lot, I will say all the movies I've seen this summer (even if they came out a while ago) that I really enjoyed.
1. Speed Racer - I really loved this movie. It's story structure was unique but very understandable and engaging. It's visuals were stunning and innovative. But most of all this movie was pure fun. It emphasized family and brotherhood. I cried a few times watching this, especially the scene where Pops Racer describes losing his son and coming out of depression. It was very mature for a kid's movie and that's probably why it didn't do so hot.
2. The Spiderman Trilogy - Amazing. I loved the 3rd one the best. I know a lot of people thought it was poopy, but what are you gonna do.
3. Iron Man - I really liked the comics that Jason showed me, but I thought the movie was so basic that it failed to capture what I loved about Tony Stark's story. However, I watched it again and knowing what to expect I liked it a lot more. Robert Downy Jr. (a fan of the comics) gave a the press some things to expect from Iron Man 2, all of which are the things I thought were missing from the first one.
4. Hellboy II - This was a fun popcorn movie. I was totally happy with it.
Movies I also saw for the first time this summer that I loved but don't want to write anything about: Dirty Harry, Big Trouble in Little China, Heavenly Creature (THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME!), American Pop, Lethal Weapon, Soylent Green.
However THE DARK KNIGHT comes out in less than 3 days, and then X-Files: I want to believe comes out the next friday. I am totally pumped for The Dark Knight, but I am so sick of watching trailers because I just wanna watch the damn thing already.
Dinner is calling. GOODNIGHT!
But, I always feel that Tarantino tries to prove that he is the master of trivia. It becomes so annoying because suddenly all the characters begin talking in the same rhythm and then all I see is Tarantino talking on screen. Only some of his minor characters seem to have a unique voice, like Mr. Wolf. I just wish there was more about him.
So far from favorite to least favorite (of the ones I've seen goes)
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill 2
Kill Bill 1
Death Proof
There is no doubt that my subconcious thinks that my sister is amazing. Every big moment in her life has a shock wave that affects mine. Let's look at the facts.
Shaina was born, then Brenden was born.
Shaina beats Super Mario Bros 3, Brenden still holds a grudge that he hasn't.
Shaina was bad at math, Brenden was bad at math until recently discovering he's really good at it.
Shaina got into madrigals as a freshman, Brenden tried and failed to get into symphonic band as a freshman but made it as a rock drummer on the rebound.
Shaina goes to Kent, Brenden wants to go to kent.
Shaina and Frank take a break, then Brenden mysteriously asked Nicole for a break.
Shaina decides she is definitely moving to New York, Brenden suddenly wants to go to OSU.
Shaina gets engaged to Danny, then Brenden... WHAT NEXT!?!?!?
So with the big news this weekend, How am I gonna bounce back into the lime light after being really out done by news I never thought I'd hear? Hmm... should I propose to the first cute girl i see in OSU? A complete stranger? or my husband from another life where i was a woman but now hes a woman suddenly finds me proposes to me? Who knows!?!?!?
Oh God, I'm so happy for my sister. Danny is a great guy and I'm so happy they're together. YAY FOR SHAINA AND DANNY!
